About us
Strengthening Families, Caregivers, and Communities from the Ground Up
We create learning experiences that integrate child development, emotional well-being, and community strengthening.
OUR HISTORY
How Connected by Roots Began
Connected by Roots grew out of years of direct work with families, caregivers, and diverse communities. Through our experience supporting child development and family-strengthening programs, we identified the need for learning spaces that bring together practical knowledge, emotional well-being, and community connection.
That is why we create culturally relevant programs that respond to the real needs of those who care for, educate, and support children.
Our story continues to be written alongside every family, caregiver, organization, and professional who chooses to grow with us.
MISSION
To contribute to children's well-being by strengthening individuals, families, and those who care for, educate, and support children through opportunities for learning, collaboration, and support that help build stronger communities.
VISION
To build stronger communities where every child grows surrounded by knowledgeable, supported, and committed people who are invested in their development.

THE VALUES THAT GUIDE OUR WORK
Respect
We value each person for who they are and for the experience they bring. We listen with openness, respect differences, and foster relationships built on trust, kindness, and empathy.
Collaboration
We believe the best outcomes happen when people work together. We share knowledge, learn from one another’s experiences, and build partnerships that create a greater impact in our communities.
Community
We believe the most meaningful change happens when people feel part of something greater than themselves. That is why we create spaces where people can share experiences, support one another, learn together, and build trusting relationships that strengthen individuals, families, and communities.
Continuous Learning
We recognize that there are always new opportunities to learn. We remain open to feedback, new ideas, and continuous growth—both as individuals and as an organization.
Integrity
We act with honesty, transparency, and consistency. We build trust by being responsible in our decisions, our use of resources, and our relationships.
Inclusion
We value the diversity of experiences, cultures, languages, and backgrounds. We work to reduce barriers and create spaces where every person feels welcome, heard, and valued.
